Hillary Kurt A.I.S.T.D.
How it all began...
It started in June 1996. The Electric Slide was the hottest dance around. Country music was happening everywhere. A new craze, a new career.
After five years on local hospital radio as a presenter and DJ, two years as a theatrical agent, and several appearances on EastEnders, the trail led to line dancing.
Qualified through the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (AISTD) in July 1999. Hills 'n' Toes started at Barking Football Club, Dagenham in December 1997. Has since moved to Romford United Services Social Club.
Has taught line dancing for three years at a stage school for pupils under 16 (featured in Linedancer Magazine, Issue 53, October 2000).
Likes to teach with humour and loves nostalgic dances. Likes Country and Western themed nights and enjoys wearing costumes. Really adores swing type dances like Low Down Dirty Boogie. Favourite all time great is Tush Push (written in 1981).
Currently teaching and enjoying a range of styles from Country and Western to pop; Latin to swing, and anything else that takes her fancy.
