Our fourth Line Dance Weekend with Sunshine & Stars in Great Yarmouth attracted more than 50 members from Hills 'n' Toes. The tried and tested format used previously was repeated with great success.

Dinner on Friday evening was followed by requests with 'Hills & Legs'. Although the dancing at the New Beach stopped at 11:00pm, there were those who carried on until the small hours partying on the pier.

Sylvie 'Miss' World from Silver Boots and Johnnie 'Legs' took the Saturday morning workshop, while Hills took the afternoon session. Saturday night's requests filled the floor and Rowena hosted Sunday morning's workshop.

The weekend's raffle raised £175.00 for the 'head & neck cancer unit' at the James Paget Hospital in Gt. Yarmouth. Sunshine & Stars have already assisted in raising £30,000 for a special camera which can spot tumours at a very early stage, but the hospital has not been allowed to buy it until they can raise another £8,000 for the running cost for two years. Clare Barclay won the first prize of two tickets for the next Line Dance weekend at Gt. Yarmouth in November - jointly donated by Mike Powell from Sunshine & Stars and Ingo, the General Manager at the New Beach.
