More than 20 of us from Hill's 'n' Toes enjoyed a wonderful sunny week just before Christmas with Sunshine & Stars combining line dancing with sightseeing staying at the lovely 4-star Hotel Monumental Lido in Funchal, the capital of the beautiful island of Madeira. We we treated to full-board cuisine, and relaxed by the pool in tempertures hovering around the 70s (about 21° C in new money!).

Meeting up with people from all over the Country, about 80 of us were entertained by the tried and trusted team of Johnnie 'the Legs' Sutton, Sylvie 'Miss' World and - of course - our own Hills 'the Jive Bunny'. Throw in some great live music from Billy Curtis and we had a superb time - all organised by the inimitable Mike Powell.

With the evenings spent dancing and workshops every other day, there was plenty of time to get out and about, do a little shopping, or join organised sightseeing trips. By the way, you haven't lived until you've seen the Christmas lights in Madeira.
